Philadelphia, PA, August 4, 2008 — Elisa M.T. Basnight, an associate in the Corporate Finance & Technology practice at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Philadelphia office, has been selected to serve on the Pennsylvania in the Arts Advisory Panel by The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

Her responsibilities as a panelist include a range of activities essential to the decision-making process in forming recommendations about applicants seeking state funding for their projects.

The Cultural Alliance is one of 17 Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts that support the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency in the Office of the Governor, in its mission to expand access to the arts by providing grants to individual artists and arts organizations in all 67 counties of Pennsylvania.

As a partner, the Cultural Alliance serves the five counties of Southeastern Pennsylvania — Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia — with two state-funded re¬granting programs annually.
